Khat Sokhim Ridicules Thai Flag Display on Waste Vehicles

Phnom Penh (EAC News) — Cambodian actress Khat Sokhim mocked Thailand’s display of national flags on garbage trucks, contrasting it with the space achievements of major world powers.

America, Russia, China and India put their national flags on planets and other places in the sky to show off their technological power and their smart brains in research and discovery,” Sokhim said.

“But what about this strange nation putting its national flag on a truck carrying waste? I suspect they want to brag about their ‘waste power and pure waste brains,’ too,” she added in a satirical jab.

Images of Thai flags mounted on garbage trucks have circulated online this week, drawing both ridicule and debate.
